About Interactive Resources
Interactive Resources is a multidisciplinary architecture and engineering firm founded in 1973 and located in Point Richmond, California. Recently, the firm opened a satellite office in the Central Valley to better meet the needs of our growing clientele.
The name "Interactive Resources" was originally conceived to describe our goal of bringing together several design disciplines to better integrate the architecture and engineering professions. Interactive Resources has achieved this objective with an in-house staff of architects, planners, structural and civil engineers, designers and technical specialists. This combination of resources has given the firm a reputation for versatility and efficiency.

Construction has been completed on the
Novato City Hall Historic Rehabilitation Project designed by Richmond architecture and engineering firm Interactive Resouces. The City of Novato engaged Interactive Resources to design the project featuring adaptive reuse of an historic church building located at 901 Sherman Avenue, to meet the current and future needs of the City of Novato for use as a council chamber, meeting space and event center. The rehabilitation of what originally was a Nineteenth Century Presbyterian church that serves as the logo for Novato began in September 2008 has transformed the interior of the 111-year-old building, while retaining its historic exterior.

Interactive Resources was recently awarded a contract by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) to provide solar feasibility studies for 24 California K-12 school buildings in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. The Sequoia Foundation Solar Schools Assessment and Implementation Project in Berkeley, California requires that a feasibility roof structural assessment be conducted to determine the potential of school roofs to support a solar photovoltaic (PV) array. The Sequoia Foundation is preparing a "Solar Master Plan" that will plan and deploy the installation of PV systems on all appropriate district schools and administrative buildings. The success of this Solar America Showcase demonstration project can lead to the development of best practices and potential replication in other school districts. NREL is responsible for the Solar America Showcase technical management efforts.more information
