PAINTINGS OF CARS

Acrylic is a modern water-based artist's paint with the look and permanence of oil paint. I paint on canvas or linen that I stretch onto a wood mounting frame. I paint the front and the edges of the canvas in a contemporary style so no frame is necessary. The paintings look great with no frame. The space of art is not stopped by a border but seems to continue on out into infinity. Price does not include a frame. A frame may be requested for the cost of the frame.

In memory of Lee Childress (October 14, 1944-July 30, 1997), Vietnam Veteran, poet, sculptor, rescuer of lost vets, aimless artists, and neglected cars of the 1950's.

This series of car paintings blossomed in his heart, and went to seed in my mind. I dedicate this entire project, for as long as it lasts and wherever it goes, to him. May his herd of Buick's graze forever in his mountain pasture.
