Interactive Resources provided structural engineering and architectural
design for this 20,000 square-foot, one-story rectangular structure with
mezzanines. Located in Vallejo, the facility houses a large
gymnasium/multi-purpose room with a basketball court, lobby, offices, locker
and storage rooms, and exercise rooms. The exterior and interior walls of
this 30-foot tall building are concrete tilt-up panels. The roof is wood
framed panelized construction with glued-laminated beams spanning 90 feet,
creating clear space in the gymnasium/multi-purpose area of the recreation
center.
