Interactive Resources provided full design services for the development of a
9-acre portion of the County Service Center. This portion consists of
facilities for the Road Maintenance Division of the County Public Works
Department, and includes a 7,530-square-foot office building, a
7,100-square-foot workshop building, and a 10,310-square-foot hazardous
materials storage building that provides storage facilities for the County
Agriculture Department's weed and rodent control program.
The project includes a new 6,700-square-foot facility for the County Materials
and Testing Laboratory. Site development includes parking for 177 county
vehicles, heavy equipment, and for more than one hundred County employees. Also
included in this project was design of a fueling station for use by County
vehicles. Separated from the main part of the service center by security
fencing, this card-operated automatic dispensing system station is accessible
to County vehicles 24 hours a day. It includes two 10,000 gallon capacity fuel
tanks and two pumps.
The firm subsequently completed programming, site planning and design services
for the second phase of development at the County Service Center. This phase
provided space for the County’s General Services Department. It included 30,000
square feet of new construction, plus parking for 200 cars.
