Bancroft Village
Roofing Repair and Administration
Walnut Creek, CA
|
Interactive Resources was hired by the Bancroft Village Homeowners Association
to assist in decision making about a reroofing project for 200 condominium
units in Phases One and Two of this major complex. The Homeowners Association
had approximately $1,000,000 available for repair of roofing problems, and
wanted guidance regarding the roofing system that would best suit their
physical needs within their limited budget.
In response, Interactive Resources prepared a report containing a comparative
analysis of several roofing systems for the Association’s consideration.
Roofing systems compared and contrasted included fiberglass shingle, wood
shake, lightweight concrete tile or Cal-Shake, and metal tile. Interactive
Resources developed information for each system, including the cost,
durability, anticipated life, weight and effect on structural system needs, and
the advantages and disadvantages of each.
Following a decision by the Homeowners Association Board of Directors,
Interactive Resources prepared working documents and provided construction
administration services to ensure that the contractor followed appropriate
guidelines for installation.
