Interactive Resources provided various architecture, engineering and design
projects under this ongoing contract, including:
California Highway Patrol Stations: We performed a
life-cycle cost analysis and value engineering study of ten CHP stations from
Yreka to Merced to identify energy conservation measures. Modifications
were ranked according to cost-effectiveness and included mechanical equipment
repairs, roof and wall insulation, Trombe walls, insulated skylights and solar
water heating.
Department of Motor Vehicles, Santa Rosa: Interactive
Resources prepared architectural plans for the repair of roofing problems.
Agnew State Hospital, San Jose: Interactive Resources
was hired by the DSA to complete a survey of seventeen buildings to identify
accessibility features not in compliance with Title 24 of the California
Administrative Code, and design an architectural barrier removal program for
the buildings. Services provided by the firm included field visits to
survey the facility and review of architectural drawings to identify
deficiencies and non-compliant features, design development of scale drawings
of needed improvements, and development of outline specifications and cost
estimates for the repairs. Improvements were designed to remove
architectural barriers or provide "equivalent facilitation" for the hospital.
