Contract #1: Interactive Resources developed field
assembly plans on CADD for Combat Zone Fleet Hospitals for deployment in
locations around the world by the U.S. Navy. The Fleet Hospitals are made up of
modular units which are designed to be quickly assembled in the field in a
variety of terrain as needed during combat. CADD drawings were prepared
illustrating all building components and construction methods and plans,
including electrical, mechanical and plumbing hook-ups. The contract involved
the development of prototype construction and assembly plans for a 250-bed and
a 500-bed fleet hospital. The initial project conducted under this contract
involved the design and development on CADD of field assembly plans for a
250-bed fleet hospital suitable for location in either a snow or desert
environment. The plans for this hospital were derived from existing drawings
for a 500-bed Communications Zone Hospital. Based on the completed 250-bed
hospital, Interactive Resource, Inc., derived assembly plans for a 500-bed
hospital. The plans for that particular hospital were completed on an expedited
schedule for immediate deployment in Japan.
Contract #2: On the basis of the initial field assembly
plans prepared by Interactive Resources, Inc., the firm completed similar plans
for two additional 500-bed Combat Zone Fleet Hospitals. One of these hospitals
was adapted for deployment in a particular site, which was a large tunnel. The
other was a prototype for a hospital to be deployed in airport hangars or at
field air bases. Three additional 500-bed hospitals were designed involving
slight modifications for site adaptation of the prototype assembly drawings.
