Interactive Resources prepared
construction documents for the renovation and expansion of this existing U.S.
Postal Service station. The full-service station is operating in a leased
space in a historic building; work was completed under contract to the building
owner, yet in full conformance with all U.S. Postal Service guidelines and
standards. All plans and drawings were reviewed by the U.S. Postal
Service, Facilities Service Office in San Bruno, California, and by
representatives of the Oakland District of the Facilities Service Office.
The project involved the expansion of an 1,100 square-foot service station to a
total of 2,400 square feet. The box lobby was expanded, a new service
counter added, and the existing service lobby and workstation were
remodeled. As part of this project, Interactive Resources also
rehabilitated the building's foundation and improved the sidewalks and
entrances to the post office.
