Maclise Drugstore Building

Interactive Resources' structural engineers completed the seismic retrofit for
this historic landmark office building, comprised of URM brick exterior walls,
and wood floors and roof framing. The three-story building and its
basement were originally constructed circa 1880, and was extensively
damaged in the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake.
Our structural engineering work won an "Orchid" Award from the City of Oakland
in 1992. The Maclise Drugstore Building is noted on the State Register of
Historic Places.
