Interactive Resources provided pre-acquisition construction review services for
two office buildings, located in the financial district, in downtown San
Francisco. The site consists of two buildings with connecting lobbies at the
first floor and with enclosed walkway bridges connecting the fifth and eighth
floor. The designs are well integrated architecturally and the two buildings
use common details of construction.
The building at 550 California Street is thirteen stories and 635 Sacramento
Street is eight stories. Both building have had additions following initial
construction - a four story addition to 550 California and a two story addition
to 635 Sacramento. Architectural, mechanical, and structural conditions of both
buildings were surveyed. A Seismic Risk Analysis was also performed and an
estimated "Probable Maximum Loss" value for different time periods was given.
