Feasibility Study
Tucson, AZ

The objective of this study was to develop a Scope of Work and Design Program
for a new Federal Courthouse in Tucson. Also included were preliminary
feasibility studies for an annex to the existing historic Federal Courthouse.
The final Design Program resulted in a new 530,000 square-foot Federal
Courthouse, with the potential for a 290,000 square-foot expansion. The
appropriate site size was also determined by this study. All alternatives
included floor plans, stacking plans, massing plans, and cost estimates.
The recommended alternative included detailed spacial requirements, design
directives, and building system requirements. The report will serve as a Scope
of Work and Design Program for the A/E contracted to design and produce
contract documents for the new building.
