Vocational Technology Building Addition Los Medanos College Pittsburg, CA

Interactive Resources provided comprehensive architectural, structural and civil engineering design services for this new one-story addition, allowing for the expansion of the existing vocational technology program. The addition houses the new auto shop, appliance lab, and an expanded tool room.

The contextual design blends in with the architectural style of the existing campus buildings and the addition is indistinguishable from the existing structure. Structural engineering design includes a concrete moment-resisting frames and custom steel framing to support cranes for use in the auto repair shop classes. Civil engineering includes grading, drainage and site utilities design.
