This two-story, 26,000 square-foot complex was designed to facilitate the
studies of organic chemistry, micro biology, chemistry, marine biology,
anatomy, environmental engineering, vacuum technology, geology, zoology,
astronomy, and related curriculum.
The design of lecture and laboratory spaces provides the college with the
ability to communicate and disseminate information through the latest
audio-visual, data, and networking equipment. State-of-the-art equipment
includes a new weather monitoring system and observatory deck.
Organic chemistry and chemistry laboratories were designed to facilitate a
hands-on approach in individual and group settings. Experiments can be
performed at each work station in a safe environment with individual exhaust
systems. The facility’s computer network and audio-visual system allows access
to assignments, experiments, and general information by students at home, study
facilities, as well as by the community and other educational bodies.
