District Attorney Office Relocation
Martinez, CA
|
Interactive Resources was hired by Contra Costa County to design tenant
improvements to an existing building for the relocation of the sexual assault
and domestic violence departments of the District Attorney's office. Services
include design of new office space, construction cost estimates, construction
documents, and construction administration.
The third floor, originally occupied by the County Health Department, is
approximately 6,800 square feet. Most of the existing facility was demolished
to allow for new improvements that were designed to meet current building
codes. The floor was modified to allow for the future improvement of the other
floors, and to comply with current life-safety codes.
In addition to the normal tenant improvement designs, the aging mechanical
system for the entire facility was modified to allow for the future improvement
of the other floors. The floor now has all new finishes, lighting, air
conditioning, and data systems. Special attention was given to security, given
the nature of the business of the tenant.
