investigation, analysis and design services for the re-roof of this 900-unit
condominium complex. The total roof area of the complex, which is housed in two
separate buildings, is approximately 350,000 square feet. Each building has
four levels of stepped-up roofs.
This project called for the complete tear-off of the existing built-up roofing
membrane and gravel system. The work also included the replacement of decayed
plywood decking, modification of the stucco wall bases of penthouse units, and
the installation of slope correction insulation and a new single-ply roofing
system.
Prior to design, Interactive Resources conducted an extensive investigation of
the as-built conditions to assess the proper roofing systems for the
structures.
In addition to the roofing work, 900 roof top air conditioning units will be
removed and replaced.
