Interactive Resources was retained by General Services Administration (GSA) to provide a study to determine the suitability of the land parcel and identifying the legal description and a Phase I Environmental Assessment for the construction of a U.S. Courthouse in Bakersfield, CA. Other services include providing a conceptual design to determine if the government can use the parcel for the intended purpose.
The conceptual design of the building was based upon the building gross square footage of 32,000, limited to two stories in height, and 15 parking spaces on the parcel. The conceptual design gives consideration to the NEPA process, socio-environmental concerns, vehicular access to the parcel, applicable federal, state, county, and local ordinances and regulations, seismic and flood plain issues that might impact use of and design for the building on the parcel, topography of the parcel.
