Remodel Courtrooms 4A & 4B, Jury Deliberation Suites, New Cellblock

Interactive Resources designed an extensive remodel on the 4th floor of the existing Lloyd D. George U.S. Courthouse building in Las Vegas, Nevada. The scope for renovations included creating two federal district courtrooms, two jury deliberation suites, a new prisoner cellblock, a new elevator stop, and various lobby upgrades within existing floor areas. The project included a complete interior design and construction in accordance with the U.S. Courts Design Guide, and design/construction of the new cellblock according to U.S. Marshals’ standards.
Interior renovations included removal of existing ceilings and finishes, and reconfigurations of doorways and existing mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. The remodel included distinctive new courtroom millwork at Judge’s Bench, built-in desks, Jury Box, Spectator Area and accessible Witness Stand. New finishes included wall paneling, stone veneer, and a decorative ceiling recess above courtroom well. New lighting design accomplished multiple lighting scenes for dramatic and functional effect. New electrical work included high fidelity audio/visual systems capable of multi-modal transmission and presentation.
