Interactive Resources has prepared a Program Development Study (PDS) for alterations and renovations to the Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaole Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse in Honolulu, Hawaii. This $300 Million dollar project included one million square feet of office space.
The building was in need of major infrastructure upgrades to its HVAC system and electrical system.
The study encompasses a broad scope of recommendations in regard to water intrusion solutions, electrical system upgrades, curtain wall system replacement, HVAC upgrades, fire protection upgrades, lighting improvements, upgrades to lobbies and toilet rooms, renovating and reconfiguring interior office spaces, constructing a new electrical and building emergency generator.
The project was designed to meet LEED® silver standards (NC) for new construction and major remodeling.
