Interactive Resources prepared a Program Development Study (PDS) for interior remodeling and tenant relocations within the James C. Corman Federal in Van Nuys, California. The study encompasses program analysis, tenant space needs, building system upgrades, cost analysis, and project scheduling. Our PDS is intended to synthesize recommendations and findings contained in numerous reports and studies which have been generated over the years for this building. Tenant improvements will total approximately 50,000 sq.ft. on four floors. Several existing building systems will be upgraded, and some hazardous materials will be abated. The project is being planned to attain LEED ‘Gold’ under the LEED Commercial Interiors rating system.
A particular challenge of this PDS is reconciling established governmental goals for building renovations within a very limited project budget and under very restrictive time constraints. If successful, our PDS for this project will be instrumental in preserving a significant building for continued use by the Federal Government.
