Interactive Resources was retained by
Perpetual Power LLC to provide structural engineering services for the design of two roof mounted solar arrays and one ground mounted array at the existing Deer Island Treatment Plant facilities in Winthrop, MA.
Design services were performed for Perpetual Power LLC, which included verification that the existing framing could support the array without requiring a mandatory seismic upgrade as specified in IBC Section 3403.3.2, Section 11B.4 of ASCE 7-05 and as amended by the Massachusetts Building Code.
Additional design services included the preparation of structural calculations for the anchorage of the roof mounted and a ground mounted inverter and construction of a concrete pad. The design portion also included preparation of structural drawings showing the location and details for the inverter anchorage. Responded to code enforcement agency comments, which included one site visit to DSA for back check, and provided Construction Administration services, including one site visit to respond to field questions, and to review the shop drawings.
