Emerson School Solar Project

AAA Solar Electric was the low bidder for the solar photovoltaic project at Emerson School in the Berkeley Unified School District, and was awarded a contract for $585,725 for the project that has a CEC-AC rating Emerson School Solar Array

74.8kW (DC Rating 84.6kW STC). This is the second project for the Berkeley Unified School District for which Interactive Resources and Tom Butt have served as Architect-of-Record — the first being Washington School.

Interactive Resources had earlier in 2010, through a contract with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), performed a preliminary evaluation of the framing for this school site and other sites in the Berkeley Unified School District to determine the viability of the solar array. We responded to code enforcement agency (DSA) comments, which included a site visit to DSA for back check, and provided Construction Administration services, including response to field questions, and review of shop drawings.
