Hollywood Comes To Point Richmond (Occasionally)

Historic Point Richmond has so much charm that it is sought out as a backdrop for movies. In the last few years, we've seen filming for "Patch Adams" starring Robin Williams and "The Sweetest Thing" starring Cameron Diaz and Christina Applegate.

The Sweetest Thing
The movies came to Point Richmond to film a few scenes from the movie "The Sweetest Thing" starring Cameron Diaz and Christina Applegate. It was a little hard to get any work done in the office with the two of them running across the street over and over again in their underwear. Then to compensate, they dressed up in these wild colorful outfits and ran the other way across the street.

Patch Adams
Robin Williams came to town for the filming of "Patch Adams". Of all the stars who have come to Point Richmond, Williams was the most friendly with the locals. He made time every day to sign autographs and have his picture taken with fans.
