The West Contra Costa Unified School District voted unanimously to hire Interactive Resources to perform architectural and engineering services for the major modernization and expansion of Nystrom Elementary School in Richmond, California. Student Services Building

Contra Costa College
San Pablo, California

Construction is nearing completion for the new 16,000+ square foot Student Services Building at Contra Costa College. Interactive Resources is currently providing comprehensive architecture and engineering services for the project. The building will serve as a part of the gateway and focal point to the college and will bring a fresh new aesthetic to the mid-century architecture of the campus.

Solar Photovoltaic Projects

California and New Jersey

Interactive Resources is providing structural engineering services for dozens of large and small projects, totaling over 5 megawatts, mainly in New Jersey and California because that is where economic incentives are generating the most interest. Solutions for attachment include adhesives, anchors and steel cables tied back to parapets.

Novato City Hall Historic Renovation

City of Novato
Novato, CA

The City of Novato has engaged Interactive Resources to renovate the historic church building located at 901 Sherman Avenue to meet the current and future needs of the City of Novato for use as a council chambers, meeting space, and event center. The design includes moving the existing building approximately 12 feet from its’ existing location and the addition of a foyer or connecting hallway and prep/ warming kitchen, as well as upgrades to foundation, structural system, acoustics, HVAC systems, site development and parking and site accessibility.

Santa Fe Historic Reading Room

Trainmaster's Building
Point Richmond, CA

The Santa Fe Reading Room built in approximately 1900 is the only remaining structure from the early days of the Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe railroad yards in Richmond. Santa Fe once built and maintained “reading rooms” for their employees in every major town along their routes to serve as community centers for employees and provide a healthy diversion to compete with the local bars. Tom Butt, FAIA, President of Interactive Resources, has been working in his capacity as a Richmond City Council member to save the structure from demolition for almost 15 years.
