Interactive Resources has enjoyed a long working relationship with a local, large private utility company, providing professional architectural, engineering and construction management services on multiple projects. Cushman & Wakefield, the property manager, retained our services to perform comprehensive programming, space planning, and architectural design for the customer service office (CSO) located in Bakersfield, California. This was one of several CSO projects for which we focused on design solutions to improve and expedite customer experience and to integrate online technologies into the workplace. Our architects remodeled the lobby with upgraded digital features, payment kiosks, a web zone information center and waiting area, and height adjustable teller stations. Finishes were modernized and accented with artwork fitting the local region, including a wall mural.
Interactive Resources modified the existing business office to more efficiently use available space and to bring it into compliance with ADA accessibility codes. Office work areas and cubicles were outfitted with the latest technological features and ergonomic design. The restrooms and support spaces were also updated and a telecom/server room storage space was remodeled. Our work included schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration services. The design team worked with the client’s color and finish guidelines to create a professional, adaptable, and coherent palette.
