Interactive Resources was retained by the General Services Administration to determine the most advantageous way to implement energy efficient designs and retrofits to the existing infrastructure at the Bruce R. Thompson U.S. Courthouse in Reno and Carson City Federal Building in Carson City Nevada. The energy efficient studies evaluated numerous options and calculated the potential energy savings, the estimated construction costs and the payback period for each option. Based on the results of the studies, construction documents were prepared for the design of energy and water saving projects at both buildings, featuring many sustainable components, including: energy efficient lighting and mechanical systems; lighting controls and fixtures; a new building automation system; new boiler; solar hot water system; roof-mounted solar photovoltaic system; efficient water conserving plumbing fixtures; new garage and parking lot lighting; and a new curtain wall.
“Interactive Resources is and has been an excellent architectural contractor for GSA on the Region 9 IDIQ for AE Services contract. For this particular Task Order, they responded to an ARRA requirement in a timely, efficient manner, with excellent end designs, and under tremendous time constraints. They were outstanding in all respects. I highly recommend the company for future IDIQ consideration.”
