Interactive Resources was retained by Borrego Solar to provide structural engineering Services for the roof-mounted solar array(s) at the existing Rocklin campus’s student center and campus bookstore buildings.

Design services included reviewing the available “as-built” drawings and providing structural engineering services for the attachment of the array to the roof. Structural loads were established in accordance with DSA IR 16-8. We also provided structural calculations for the racking system, and prepared Construction Documents showing the method and location(s) of the array attachments, which included details of the racking system for DSA review and approval.

The roof mount array is part of a 972 kW project, which includes a series of carports, ground-mounts and roof mounted arrays located on the campus.
