Interactive Resources recently transformed a 6,200-square-foot existing office building into a welcoming, accessible, and purpose-built home for Star Academy’s Post-High School Adult Education Program.
Designed for young adults ages 18–22, the facility supports hands-on learning focused on employment, independent living, education, and the transition to adulthood. The adaptive reuse project features flexible classrooms with integrated life-skills amenities, a teaching kitchen, administrative offices, accessible restrooms and circulation, and durable finishes suited to an active learning environment.
The project demonstrates how thoughtful adaptive reuse can transform an existing building into a flexible, inclusive educational environment tailored to the unique needs of students and staff.
